Everyday

Everyday...

Everyday we must come to realize.
That each day that has passed there are two things about it.
One we can bitch and complain about what has happened.
Or we can learn from it so we don't repeat it.
The scars will always be there.
The nightmares you faced will still be in your mind.
The rain and storms will always remain.
But complaining about them does nothing.
It doesn't change anything!
The only way to make sure we make sure the past doesn't repeat.
Is by learning what to do in the present.
Which will make a brighter future.

Everyday we must be stronger than we were.
We must throw out all the excuses we have.
Block out all the negative.
Be louder than our demons.
Bigger than our dreams.
Flood the hate from ourselves.
And allow ourselves to bathe in love.
One simple positive thought is what we all need.
For those kind words cause a ripple effect in our mind.
Make us see what we need to see at the right time.
Smile at a stranger because who knows what battles they are facing.
Say a hello to friend or an enemy.
That maybe all the ammo they need to last through a day.
Be the best you can be.

Everyday we must forgive ourselves.
And others.
We are not perfect.
Our imperfections are what makes us who we are.
We may not be the strongest.
The smartest.
Or the prettiest.
But maybe we will never give up which is our inner strength.
Perhaps we are smarter than we give ourselves credit for.
And if someone doesn't find you beautiful, then they are not meant to.
We were born to learn.
We were born to make mistakes.
We were born to live.
We were born to become ourselves.

Everyday we must realize that we do not have all the time in the world.
Never miss an opportunity to tell someone that you love them.
Hug a friend or even a stranger.
Kiss your loved ones good night.
Take a second to pet your cat.
Or throw a ball to your dog.
Or stare at the fish in the fish bowl.
Time has a funny way of running out unexpectedly
For your loved ones.
For strangers.
And for ourselves.

Everyday we must live.
.
